BW Tankers to build VLCCs in China

(27 feb. 2006) BW Shipping Managers Pte Ltd is the new name for World-Wide Shipping Managers Pte Ltd. The renaming was formally recognized at a company ceremony on 28 November 2005.

BW re-enters product tanker market
(27 feb. 2006) BW Shipping has purchased of eight panamax size product tankers for US$449m. The first vessel, BW Amazon, is expected to be delivered in July 2006.

Changing children's lives in Nigeria
The BW Group is the sole corporate sponsor of the third SOS Children’s village in Nigeria. The village is in Gwagwalada, a satellite town close to the Nigerian capital Abuja. The new SOS Children’s Village was officially opened on 8 November 2007, with Her Excellency Hajiya Turai Yar’Adua, wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the special guest of honour.

ISO 14001 certification achieved
Lloyd’s Register has awarded ISO 14001certification to BW Shipping Managers Pte Ltd for its entire managed fleet of tankers and bulk carriers.
