About the LLMA Awards
First launched in 1999, the Lloyd's List Maritime Asia Awards ("LLMA Awards") is an annual event which honours the best in the Asian Maritime Industry.
Ballot forms are enclosed in issues of Lloyd's List Maritime Asia, a leading source of maritime and transport news and reports on Asia. Each year, three finalists in each category of the Maritime Asia Awards are defined by the number of votes received by Lloyd's List Maritime Asia readers. These finalists' details are evaluated by an independent panel of judges, consisting of a number of high profile industry experts, and a vote is taken to decide the individual winners of each category. Voters are not allowed to cast for their own companies and votes cast are independently audited. Judges are also asked to vote for categories for which they hold direct relevant experience and have no conflict of interest.
